Fuller Design Studio is a residential design firm based in San Francisco, California. Since 2007, we have specialized in Accessory Dwelling Units, in-law units, secondary units, 'granny flats', cottages, backyard structures, remodels, additions and new construction projects. Our firm's main focus is to help homeowners find the most cost-effective way to transform underutilized spaces into practical, livable and even revenue-generating properties. Our expertise allows us to offer a complete range of services for any size project, as well as long-cultivated collaborative relationships with contractors, engineers, building departments and other professional consultants. Our process is based on creativity, innovation and a minimal-overhead fiscal approach. Ultimately, our mission is to increase creative living options in any environment, whether urban or rural.
Originally from Switzerland, Michel is a designer with over 30 years of experience working in California, mostly San Francisco. He studied as an undergraduate architecture student at Rice University in Houston, Texas and at CCAC in San Francisco, California and continued learning skills at local community colleges and SF State. He gained experience early on working for Arquitectonica Int'l, Autodesk Inc., Peter Pfau Arch., Studios Arch., Smith-Karng Arch., The Gap (design), Buka design and several other design-build firms, Ergo Arch., Lombardi Arch., Ziggurat Design, Feldman Arch., then finally opened his own design studio in 2007. Michel's passion is to work with unused, existing spaces, bringing European design esthetics together with American creativity towards finding simple, practical and elegant design solutions.
